Plagiarism Policy

Articles submitted to JMPR are screened for plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index below the recommended threshold of 10% will be considered for further processing. Authors are strongly encouraged to check their work for plagiarism prior to submission.

If authors reuse text from previously published or copyrighted materials, proper citation of the original source is mandatory to avoid copyright infringement.

IMS maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. Authors found guilty of plagiarism will face a two-year ban on submissions. In cases where plagiarism is alleged in a published article, the investigation will be conducted in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidelines. If plagiarism is confirmed, the article will be retracted and appropriate actions will be taken.

Large Language Models (LLM)

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)–assisted technology to improve grammar, language, and writing is permitted, provided that the resulting content remains representative of the author’s original work and does not introduce new concepts, results, or interpretations into the manuscript.

The use of AI-generated image manipulation is not permitted.

IMS aligns with the COPE position statement that “AI tools cannot meet the requirements for authorship, as they cannot take responsibility for the submitted work. As non-legal entities, they cannot declare the presence or absence of conflicts of interest, nor can they manage copyright and licensing agreements.” Authors are therefore solely responsible for the content of their manuscripts.
